With a bit of technically difficulty, the Presidents Day Bash Exhibition Match is finally here! This will be the first time since the 2003 November Nationals that these trucks have competed.

Here's the lineup for the event...

Starting us off this afternoon is the big green monster himself, Bustin’ Loose! He approaches the ramp hoping not to start this event off with a bad run. But luck is not on his side. He punches on the gas and goes flying off the ramp, sending himself into a multiple front end flip and finally coming to a stop on the right side of the truck cab. Not a pretty first run. He finishes in 7th place. Perhaps Hot Wheels can do better? Just as Bustin’ Loose had done, Hot Wheels accelerates dangerously fast over the ramp, but handles the speed much better. He goes shooting off into the distance, rears up with a slap wheelie, and slams into the stadium barrier. Hot Wheels will move on to the next round. Eradicator approaches the ramp. The festively colored truck seems a bit more reserved and controlled than the last two. The green light goes off, and there he goes! He soars over the arena floor with nice air, and comes back down for a near perfect landing. Eradicator will join Hot Wheels in the next round. Next up in line is the purple demon known as Maniac! The fans roar as he pulls up to the staging area. This is a fan favorite here at Ophelia’s Arena and the fans cheer him on. Maniac takes off of the ramp with a crooked start. Unfortunately for him, that crooked start will cost him. He tilts to the side mid-air and comes down in a barrel roll across the arena floor. A very disappointing run for Maniac, as he takes 6th place.
It’s now Lil Miss Dangerous’ run. The beautifully designed truck approaches the ramp and takes off into the air. She comes down hard, and bounces up onto her tailgate then back to her wheels where the truck finally comes to a stop. A close call for Lil Miss Dangerous. She too will be moving on to the next round.
Sudden Impact makes his way to the staging area. The sparkly blue truck takes off the ramp, lands hard and goes into a nice slap wheelie before coming to halt right before he smashes into the arena barrier. He will move on. Competing last tonight, is the blue and yellow van body of Yu-Gi-Oh. The big van guns it over the ramp and gets giant air with his jump. Yu-Gi-Oh has almost landed his jump when he unexpectedly looses control of his truck! He lands hard, and the front of the truck rears back up in an unstable wheelie. The ill-fated truck tips to his side, and is officially eliminated and given a 5th place ranking. A hard run for Yu-Gi-Oh, who seemed to be so very close to advancing.

Hot Wheels is up first for Round 2. He takes a moment to practice his entry onto the ramp, adjusting his postition and preparing himself for the run. Finally, he takes his place in the staging area. He floors it and sends himself flying through the air. As the blue truck comes down to land, its font bumper tilts forward and catches on the ground making him flip end over end and eventually coming to rest on all four wheels, earning him a 4th place finish. Hot Wheels is eliminated from the competition and clears the landing zone for the next competitor. Eradicator approaches the ramp with the same calm collective attitude as seen in the previous round. He speeds off the ramp and comes down hard in the landing zone. The front end rises up for a slap wheelie, and although a bit crooked, he lands it. Will Eradicators luck carry him through to the final showdown? Next up is Lil Miss Dangerous. She revs her engine at the starting line in anticipation. The signal is given and she floors it over the ramp and flies through the alley. The front of the truck does a nose plant into the ground, sending her reeling onto her side. A respectible 3rd place finish. Now it’s down to Sudden Impact. He rumbles up to the staging area, and gives a few determined revs of the engine. The signal is given, and Sudden Impact blasts off the ramp. In a perfect run, Sudden Impact glides over the alley and touches down in the landing zone with ease.

We now move onto our final round with Eradicator vs. Sudden Impact. Both trucks equally determined to win. Eradicator starts off the final round. He remains unshaken under pressure, and confidently advances to the staging area. The signal is given, and off he goes! The striped truck moves with great power off the ramp, but something goes wrong! His front right wheel hits at an odd angle and the truck is sent over onto his side! A very disappointing run. If Sudden Impact can pull out a decent run, he will take home the win. Sudden Impact wastes no time in preparing himself for his jump, and is already in the staging area, engine revving, before Eradicator can be towed off the landing zone. Sudden Impact is determined to win. He floors the gas and speeds over the ramp. In a beautiful run, Sudden Impact soars over the landing zone and comes into a slap wheelie before coming to a stop. It seems that Eradicators luck didn’t stick with him. Sudden Impact is declared the winner of the Presidents Day Bash ’04!
