Turkey Day Bash - Freestyle

After such a long and drawn out competition, a freestyle performance will come as a refreshing change. Tonight’s freestyle will entail Blacksmith, and a surprise truck that many of you may find quite surprising indeed. As the course is readied for freestyle, let me take this moment to remind you all of the upcoming December series. This will be a new kind of series for everyone involved. With 55 competing trucks, it will run in several different brackets, with the top averaged trucks meeting in the finals on Christmas Eve. An exhibition match is also planned for New Year’s Eve. Be sure to check back here in the coming weeks for coverage of these events, and news concerning newly released 1/64 trucks.

Now that the tack is ready, let’s begin! Our first of two trucks participating is your competition winner…. Blacksmith!

The black Ford comes out of the pit area with now vigor. He first comes at the first car-van-car pyramid from the back, tilting the van over. Swerving back around and tackling it from behind, he gets some air before coming back down to earth. Circling around, he comes by the second pyramid. Avoiding it for a moment, he goes into a set of donuts. Kicking up dust in the arena, the truck is met with the cheers of the audience. With only a minute or so left on the freestyle clock, the truck finally heads over to the massive dirt ramp set up on the far end of the course.

He hits the bottom of the dirt ramp with ferocious power. By the time he hits the car at the top of the ramp, he has so much power behind him that the car sends him up onto his back wheels. They catch on the car and the truck rocks over backwards. He slides back down the dirt ramp on his lid, finally coming to a rest at the bottom of the huge mound. The audience goes wild for the victorious truck. The event crew clears the truck away and returns him to the pit area.

That’s when the house lights go down. The entire facility is plunged into complete darkness. Only the cold wind outside can be heard. A spotlight comes on and starts circling the arena floor. It is now time for our surprise truck of the night to make its appearance. We hear an engine fire up in the pit area. Will it be one of the trucks in competition tonight? SoBe? Gun Slinger? Could it be one of the trucks that didn’t? Grave Digger? Wolverine?

The cold air outside grows louder. Deafening. The temperature in the arena drops dramatically. This is it. The audience cheers wildly. The engine of the mysterious truck grows louder. Blocking out the noise of the wind outside. The cheers of the audience are the next to be drowned out. The excitement in the arena is becoming something all its own. The spotlight finally catches the truck and the crowd goes wild.

Snow Hawk!

One of the Crunch Force pack trucks to be released tomorrow morning at six AM. Making its debut a night early. A true treat for the fans in attendance here tonight. The house lights come up and the temperature rises again. It is now time for this brand new truck to make its freestyle debut!

The white hummer circles around the arena floor a few times, showing off its winter camouflage paint scheme, much to the delight of the audience. The freestyle clock starts counting down and the truck attacks the nearest pyramid. He goes sailing off of the van and nearly goes over onto its side. Luckily, it’s able to save itself and continues its run over to the next stack of cars. He blasts over them and comes down with a soft landing. The truck starts to turn, but does so a bit too sharply. Capitalizing off of this, it goes into a set of donuts, kicking up most dust than Blacksmith did in his run.

The freestyle clock clicks down to zero and Snow Hawk’s engine cuts out. The arena is silent for as split second, and then the audience goes wild. This new truck has made its debut earlier than expected, and is bent on making a name for itself. Other trucks in the crunch force set, are Airborne Ranger, American Guardian, Haulin’ Heat, Sergeant Smash, and Mine Blower. Expect all of them to make a big splash this coming series.

And with that we leave you all on this Thanksgiving night. It has been a wild tournament, and will be long remembered. The debut of Snow Hawk, and the triumph of Blacksmith over the best trucks in the circuit. Our next event will most likely be the beginning of the December series. See you there, sports fans! And have a good night!
